Large Vintage Art Sweden Oil Painting by John Börén (1903-1983), listed artist dated 1953. Striking and atmospheric still life rendered with excellent paint handling and composition. Beautiful color harmony with splashes of bold color that draws the eye around the composition. The color and composition usage in this painting exceeds- I love the perspective in this painting.The deeper color in this painting was difficult to photograph because of surface reflection but I can assure you this painting is gorgeous in person! My photography does not do this painting justice! Stunning in person.
Artist: John Bören listed artist (1903-1983) As an artist Börén was self taught and conducted self-study during trips to Italy and France. He exhibited regularly in Skåne's Art Association exhibitions from 1932 and with the group De tolv (The Twelve). His art consists of still lifes with flowers and fruits, interiors and well-balanced landscapes often with motifs from southern Sweden. Börén is represented at The Malmö Museum and with the painting Tobacco Flower at the Southeast Scania Museum of Art in Tomelilla.
