Vintage Art Mid Century Interior Scene From Sweden 1977
Exceptional and super charming painting by one of my favorite artists, Eva Holmberg-Jacobsson, dated 1977. A striking larger painting with a view through a window looking out towards the sea on the horizon with a plate of fruit and a beautiful bouquet of anemone in the foreground. Excellent use of color and composition with a lovely use of color. So many nice details- I love a painting that tells a story! Eva liked to paint in the South of France and this scene is most likely from there. Beautiful in person!
Artist: Eva Holmberg-Jacobsson (Sweden, 1910-2003) Listed artist from Sweden. Eva Holmberg Jacobsson studied with Otte Sköld who trained many well known Swedish artists and in Paris. She started her career as a fashion illustrator in Paris for some of the big fashion houses. She is represented in Malmö Museum, museums in Helsingborg, Trelleborg and Landskrona, and Artcurial, Paris and in Cairo.
