Vintage Coastal Painting by T Nilsson from Sweden

Stunning Mid Century Original Oil Painting by Tage Nilsson (1926-1997) Sweden titled "Boathouses Öland" (Öland is an island off of the east coast of Sweden). Expressive brushwork and an excellent composition makes up this beautiful coastal scene. I think this was painted en plein aire as you can still see the tack marks in the margins of the canvas. This painting is gorgeous in person. Must see in person! 

Artist: Tage Nilsson (1926-1997) Nilsson studied with Isaac Grunewald, Stockholm and in Paris with André L'Hote and Othon Friesz. Was awarded the Stockholm Culture Stipendium in 1961.
