Absolutely Stunning Original Mid Century Still Life oil painting from 1960 by listed artist Hans Larsson (1910-1973) from Sweden. Larsson's work is represented Naturhistoriska Museum, Nationalmuseum, Moderna Museum, Malmö Museum, Helsingborg's Museum, Statens Museum for Kunst in Copenhagen, Denmark, The Cincinnati Art Museum and Tel Aviv Museum. Expressive brushwork in amazingly thick impasto and superb color usage make up this very stylized mid century still life painting. The artist really knew how to use color and composition. Some craquelure which is normal when paint is applied so thickly. Absolutely gorgeous in person - a classic mid century painting.
