Vintage Art Room Original Interior Oil Painting from Sweden 1962

Stunning vintage art mid century oil painting by listed artist, Gunnar Persson, from Sweden dated 1962. Expressive, confident brushwork and harmonious color make up this atmospheric interior of tulips on a table in front of a window. Painted in a wonderful impasto with a beautiful use of tonal greens, blues, grays and deep purple with a beautiful luminosity. This painting is stunning in person- my photography does not capture the beautiful subtle coloring in this piece. I love this painting-my photography does not do it justice!! A timeless classic.

Artist:  Gunnar Persson (1908-1975)  Gunnar Persson studied at Gottfrid Larssons målarskola in Stockholm 1928-1931 and during various trips to southern Europe. Persson is represented in Modern Museet, Kalmar Museum, Östersunds Museum and in various public collections.
