Stunning mid century coastal painting by listed artist Richard Björklund from Sweden dated 1938. Gorgeous view of boats in a harbor rendered in harmonious color with contrasting touches of warm color that helps to compliment and liven up the various shades of blue that range for a pale aqua to lavender. Confident, painterly brushwork and an excellent composition with depth and atmosphere that expertly leads the eye into this striking coastal scene. A classic and spectacular painting by a sought after and highly regarded artist that I will most likely regret selling. My photography does not do this piece justice!
