Swedish Mid Century Vintage Art Still Life Oil Painting

Beautiful still life oil painting from Sweden by listed artist Nisse Zetterberg titled "Apple and Pears" dated 1948 on the reverse. Atmospheric and stunning still life of an apple and pears with an excellent use of design. Beautiful, confident brushwork with some areas of impasto. This jewel of a painting by a very successful and collectible artist has a beautiful luminosity and it speaks for itself. The gold leaf frame compliments this painting beautifully. There is some slight craquelure in some areas which is normal and this does not affect the integrity of this piece. Gorgeous. I'll probably regret letting this one go.

Artist: Nisse Zetterberg (1910-1986) Listed artist from Sweden. Recipient of many awards for his painting. Represented in many museum collections including Moderna Museet, Nationalmuseum, Nordiska museet, Stockholm, Kalmar konstmuseum, and Gustav Adolf VI collection.
