Striking original vintage oil painting by popular and listed Swedish artist Bengt Hillgrund (1935-1981). Beautiful color, a great composition and use of light and shadow in this lovely oil of a countryside farmhouse under a clear blue sky. Confident brushstrokes with some areas of thicker impasto and a very nice luminosity. My photography does not do this piece justice!

Artist:   Bengt Hillgrund (1935-1981) is represented in various museum collections in Sweden. Studied in Sweden and Copenhagen.
