Charming Vintage Garden Oil Painting from Sweden by listed artist Sven Linder. A vibrant mid century oil featuring red tulips in garden beds and potted crocus. Excellent use of composition. Thick expressive brushwork with texture add to the charm of this scene. So super charming! 

Artist: Sven Linder (1919-2007) He was the son of commercial gardener Karl Arvid Linder and Edla Widström and from 1944 married to Gerd Eva Pollack. He trained as a decorator at Oscar Lundqvist's Decor School in Stockholm in 1937, but as an artist he was mainly self taught. He worked in advertising and pursued his art as a hobby, but in 1946 he switched to being an artist full-time. His art consists of still lifes, figures, portraits and landscapes with motifs from the Swedish coast. Represented in many public and private collections.
