Mid Century Vintage Coastal Painting from Sweden

Mid century vintage framed oil painting by listed artist Sven Linder (1919-2007) dated 1950. Absolutely stunning coastal scene of a seaside village rendered with excellent brushwork and luminous color that vibrates. A great composition. Stunning in person- this painting has a beautiful inner glow! My photography does not capture the beauty of this piece. A classic and timeless painting by an excellent artist.

Artist: Sven Linder (1919-2007) trained as a decorator at Oscar Lundqvist's Decor School in Stockholm in 1937, but as an artist he was mainly self taught. He worked in advertising and pursued his art as a hobby, but in 1946 he switched to being an artist full-time. His art consists of still lifes, figures, portraits and landscapes with motifs from the Swedish coast. Represented in many public and private collections.
