Gorgeous Mid Century Still Life painting signed G Turen, '69. Gretha Turén (1901-1979) born Malmö, Sweden studied art at the Skånska målarskolan, Copenhagen and in Dresden, Germany with Otte Sköld. Represented in several Swedish museum collections. Gorgeous expressive still life palette knife painting of red flowers in a blue pitcher with lovely color harmony from 1969. Oil paint applied thickly in some areas. Signed and dated lower left. Stunning in person!! Oil on board. Comes in original frame that shows wear.
