Mid century vintage oil by listed artist Bengt Delefors from Sweden. Expressive color usage in this gorgeous still life in blues, tawny reds and ochre. Simplified shapes and the color usage gives this painting a very modern feel. Paint is applied in thicker impasto. Some minor craquelure in the painting which is normal for age and paint thickness. Does not affect the integrity of the painting. Very striking in person! 

Artist:  Bengt Delefors (1917-1996) Listed artist. Delefors trained in Stockholm and with Andre Lhote in Paris 1949-1953 and at Académie de la Grand Chaumière in Paris 1950. Represented in many museum collections in Sweden including Moderna Museet (Modern Art Museum), Stockholm
