Mid Century Original Winterscape Oil Painting From Sweden

Large mid century winterscape oil painting by listed artist Bertil Landelius from Sweden dated 1947. Expressive paint application and superb color usage in bold tones make up this gorgeous winterscape of three children standing in a snowy landscape. Confident paint handling and an excellent composition. Lovely in person.

Artist:  Bertil Landelius (1912-1985) Studied studies in Copenhagen and at Skånska målarskolan in Malmö. During the years 1931–1935, he attended the University of Arts, Crafts and Design in Stockholm. Represented Moderna Museet, Stockholm and Malmö Museum.
