Mid Century Original Still Life Oil Painting from Sweden by Max Gregor Carlsson

Stunning large mid century still life oil painting by listed artist Max Gregor Carlsson from Sweden.  Dated 1945 Very expressive brush work and excellent color harmony with rich deep color. Artist shows an excellent understanding of color and compostion. Great texture and beautiful movement in this oil. This painting has such rich deep color it was hard to photograph but is stunning in person. 

Artist: Max Gregor Carlsson (1914-1996). Carlsson studied at the Skåne painting school (Skånska Målarskolan) in Malmö between 1945 and 1946. In 1953 Carlsson travelled to Paris to study under the French sculptor, painter, teacher and writer André Lhote. Represented in several museum collections in Sweden.
