Amazing mid century oil painting from Sweden by listed artist Gunnar Jonn (1904-1963) Sweden. Dated 1960. Gunnar Jonn studied at Skånska Målarskolan in Sweden and in Copenhagen. His paintings are in several museum collections in Sweden including Moderna Muséet in Stockholm and Malmö Museum. Striking coastal scene with expressive brushwork using impasto technique and excellent color harmony with flowing lines that leads the eye around the canvas. A very beautiful and exceptional painting. Oil on linen. Signed and dated right. Frame shows wear.
