Mid century vintage oil by listed artist Bengt Delefors from Sweden. Expressive vibrant brushwork in this naive style still life in a color palette of blue, red and white. Simplified shapes and the color usage give this painting a very modern feel. Paint is applied in thicker impasto. Some areas of craquelure. Very striking in person! 

Artist:  Bengt Delefors (1917-1996) Listed artist. Delefors trained in Stockholm and with Andre Lhote in Paris 1949-1953 and at Académie de la Grand Chaumière in Paris 1950. Represented in many museum collections in Sweden including Moderna Museet (Modern Art Museum), Stockholm
