Striking large mid century landscape painting from Sweden by listed artist Kåge Liefwendal dated 1966-68. Lovely atmospheric lake side scene rendered in heavier impasto and beautiful moody tones. The color mixing in this piece is excellent- the artist really knew how to use color. A solid composition and excellent use of line with confident brushwork. Striking in person.

Artist: Kåge Liefwendal (1907-1982) Artist, journalist and music composer. Studied in Stockholm with Otte Sköld and later in Paris at Maison Watteau.
