Vintage original mid century figurative painting in oil by listed artist Gerhard Karlmark (1905-1976) Sweden. Absolutely charming and beautiful figure painting of a seated model. I love her green bead necklace and the cheetah skin print she's seated on. Fantastic use of color, line and composition. Gerhard Karlmark studied at Konstakademin (The Art Academy) in Stockholm and travelled in Europe studying art. Represented in museums (Malmö, Ystad) and public collections. This artist has been auctioned at Christie's. Another painting I'll probably regret not keeping! Gorgeous in person. My photography does not do this piece justice.
