Mid Century Original Coastal Oil Painting From Sweden

Original Vintage Fine Art oil painting from Sweden signed C Berndtsson of three figures by the sea. Thickly applied impasto paint in beautiful tonal blues ranging from aqua to grey. Excllent composition and expressive brushwork applied in a confident manner. It was hard to capture the deep aqua coloring with the camera. Lovely in person.

Carl Berndtsson (1902-1983) studied at the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm and worked both in Europe and Scandinavia.
