Mid Century Original Abstract Oil Painting From Sweden

Finally! Another super mod mid century abstract! Striking abstract by Swedish artist Olle Carlström dated 1958 titled "The Cliffs". Great movement, texture and harmonious color with a very interesting composition in predominately neutral tones with contrasting warmer colors. Very eye catching! Paint is applied in a confident manner with no hesitation. These mid century abstracts are getting harder and harder to come by. Very striking in person!

Artist: Olle Carlström (1920-1988) Studied at Académie Libre, Stockholm and in Paris at Académie de la Grande Chaumiere and with André Lhote. Represented in public collections in Sweden and museum collections including Moderna Museet, Stockholm.
