Mid Century Still Life Oil Painting by Helge Franzèn dated 1951 Vintage Art Room. Gorgeous still life by listed artist Helge Franzén (1913-2008) dated 1951. Artist studied with Otto Sköld and at The Royal Institute of Art, Stockholm. Represented in Moderna Museet (Museum of Modern Art) Stockholm and other public collections. Super mod mid century painting with beautiful color harmony and thick impasto with beautiful depth and atmosphere. Some craquelure which is normal when the paint has been applied thickly. Does not affect the integrity of the painting. Oil on linen. Signed and dated lower right. Original frame shows wear.
