Striking mid century oil painting from Sweden signed W Nilsson. A classic still life painting on heavy linen featuring mid century ceramics and a sculpture. Confident paint handling and color mixing. The painting is executed in a limited color palette which creates an excellent feeling of harmony. Striking in person. This painting was hard to photograph because of glare on the surface of the painting caused by the deeper saturated color. My photography does not do this piece justice!
