Stunning Mid Century original oil painting by listed artist Pär Siegård. Beautiful brushwork and vibrant color make up this lovely still life of daffodils in a yellow jug, an egg, knife and book on a table rendered in an energetic expressive style. The chair helps create depth and compositionally helps to keep the eye circulating around the objects on the table. A very excellent use of composition and design. A very striking mid century still life by a very highly regarded and talented artist.
Artist: Pär Siegård (1887-1961) Originally trained as a decorator Siegård studied painting at Althin's School of Art in Stockholm in 1908 and later in Gothenburg at Valand's School of Art. He also briefly studied painting in Paris at Académie de la Grande Chaumière.
