Mid Century Coastal Oil Painting by listed artist Gerhard Wihlborg Sweden dated 1945. Beautifully rendered coastal scene in harmonious tones with confident brushwork that shows no hesitation with striking color usage. Very atmospheric with great depth that draws the viewer into the scene. A classic. So striking-this is such a beautiful painting in person. Unfortunately my poor photography skills do not show this piece to its full advantage-!!

Artist: Gerhard Wihlborg (1897-1982) Studied at Althins Art Academy and the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm and many self directed painting excursions abroad. Exhibited widely during his lifetime. Wihlborg is represented in many museum collections in Sweden.
