Very striking mid century oil painting by, listed artist, Nils Essen. Beautiful expressive brushwork in lovely pastel color that draws the viewer into this striking coastal scene set in the South of France. Great depth with a strong excellent composition. This was likely painted on location en plein aire. Smaller in size but big in impact! A lovely painting.
