Striking landscape by listed artist Gösta Lindquist dated 1969 titled "Landscape Outside of Edam (Holland)". A summery landscape with charming farmhouses in red which contrast beautifully against the spring green of the fields. Great use of composition which zig zags back and forth across the canvas creating depth. Expressively rendered with no hesitation in the brushwork. A striking painting by an excellent artist.
Artist: Gösta Lindquist (b 1928) Swedish listed artist. Studied Essem-skolan and Tekniska skolan during the 1950's. Also studied during self directed trips to Paris, Italy and Spain. Exhibited and participated in many exhibitions. Represented Moderna Museet, Skisserna Museum, Lund, Sweden and other museum collections in Sweden.
