Gorgeous Mid Century oil painting by listed artist Greta Turén dated 1958. Striking expressive summer landscape with a farm set high up on a hill. The artist has successfully broken down the composition into flat planes of color reducing the subject matter into only the very necessary components which creates a stunning image. This painting has a beautiful luminosity that was hard to capture with the camera. Gorgeous in person- a true mid century piece. Greta Turén is one of my favorite artist and her paintings are getting harder to come by.
Artist: Greta Turén (1901-1979) born Malmö, Sweden studied art at the Skånska målarskolan, Copenhagen and in Dresden, Germany with Otte Sköld. Represented in several Swedish museum collections.
