Amazing mid century oil painting from Sweden by listed artist Gunnar Jonn (1904-1963) Sweden dated 1944.  Striking oil of a countryside cottage with expressive, flowing brushwork using heavy impasto and excellent color harmony. Th composition successfully draws to viewer deep into the scene. The artist didn't over mix his color creating a pleasing glow and vitality to the painting. A very beautiful and exceptional painting by a highly collectible artist. 

Artist: Gunnar Jonn (1904-1963) Jonn studied at Skånska Målarskolan in Sweden and in Copenhagen. His paintings are in several museum collections in Sweden including Moderna Muséet in Stockholm and Malmö Museum.
