Vintage Mid Century Oil Painting by Lage Hellman from Sweden titled "Children's Day - Fest at Djäkneberget" dated 1940. Super charming naive style oil painting of a lively scene rendered in harmonious color with excellent brush technique. So many details that every time I look at this painting I see something new. I love paintings that tell a story! The depiction of the figures is so charming. Lovely in person.

Artist: Lage Hellman (1901-1971)Studied with Otte Sköld, Stockholm and in Paris with Othon Friesz. Recipient of many awards for his painting Hellman is represented in many public collections in Sweden including Västerås Art Museum and the Gustav VI Adolf's Collection.
