Original Vintage Fine Art oil painting from Sweden signed C Berndtsson of a wintery beachside scene with fishermen huts and equipment lining the shore titled "On the Beach". Love the glowing red interior of the barrel which really helps emphasize the cooler tones. Thickly applied paint in beautiful tonal blues ranging from aqua to grey.  Expressive brushwork applied in a confident manner. Lovely in person. This painting was harder to photograph because of the highly textured surface which created reflections. Its stunning in person!

Carl Berndtsson (1902-1983) studied at the Royal Art Academy in Stockholm and worked both in Europe and Scandinavia.
