Mid Century Original Still Life Oil Painting By R Godin Sweden 1967

Lovely mid century still life oil painting from Sweden by Ragnar Godin dated 1967. Striking expressionist style still life in vibrant color and excellent brushwork . Excellent composition and colors applied in confident manner with no hesitation. Thick impasto paint application. Some craquelure which is normal when paint is applied so thickly. Artist:  Ragnar Godin Godin studied with tor Bjurström and Sigfrid Villman at Valand's Art School 1934-35 then in Paris with Marcel Gromaire in 1936. Godin is represented in public collections in Sweden.
