Mid Century oil painting titled by listed artist Stig Kjellin from Sweden. Striking oil of a   vase of flowers in front of an open window.  Beautiful use of color and excellent use of negative space ( Negative space- is the space around and between the subject(s)) gives this piece a nice airy feel and a feeling for design.  I love this piece for its color, subject matter,  composition. Artist: Stig Kjellin (1914-1979) Kjellin trained at Tekniska Skolan in Stockholm 1934- 1936 and took self directed overseas trips to study art in Switzerland and Spain. Represented in public collections in Sweden.
