Original vintage coastal oil painting by well know and listed Swedish artist Bertil Wahlberg. Expressive brushwork and lovely use of color in this striking coastal scene of a boat resting on a rocky shore. I love the way this artist handles his paint with such confidence. Stunning in person.

Artist: Bertil Wahlberg (1923-1980) Bertil Wahlberg was a pupil of the another very well known Swedish artist, Isaac Grunewald in the 1940's. Wahlberg studied abroad in France and Italy. Wahlberg's paintings are represented in many well known museum collections including the National Museum and the Modern Museum, both located in Stockholm
