Stunning oil painting from Sweden dated 1949 painted by Ulla Borgström (1918-1999) listed artist from Sweden. Gorgeous interior featuring an African mask, statue and a small elephant painted in a naive style with expressive confident brushwork with an excellent composition. I love everything about this still life- color, subject manner, paint handling, the simple but effective framing- everything! Even the ashtray with cigarettes! Very striking in person. I think I'll regret selling this one.

Artist: Ulla Borgström (1918-1999)  Borgström studied at Skånska Målarskålan with Gotthard Sandberg and Otte Sköld.
