Swedish Vintage Art Still Life Oil Painting From Sweden

Original Vintage Mid Century Still Life by listed artist Pär Sandberg from Sweden.  Striking still life with confident paint application, excellent use of design and superb color usage make up this very stylized mid century painting. 

Artist: Pär Sandberg (1925-2016) Listed artist. Studied with Otte Sköld, Académie Libre, and Valand's Painting School. Took many self directed painting trips to Switzerland, southern France, Italy and Sicily. Represented in Vänersborg Museum.

Date:  mid century

Medium: Gouache on paper. There is a very slight buckling to the paper but nothing that disturbs the impact of this lovely piece. I bought this piece without glass and normally gouache paintings are protected by glass. Glass is optional but would add some protection to this painting.
