Vintage Art Room Portrait Sweden by R Salwén 1938

Vintage Portrait by listed artist Ragner Salwén from Sweden dated 1938 titled "Fru Maja Salwén" on the reverse. Masterfully rendered portrait painting with lovely color usage and drawing. I have a feeling that the colorful and beautifully rendered tapestry in the background could be the sitter's handicraft. Very charming in person!

Artist: Ragnar Salwén (1875-1962) Studied in Paris at the end of the 19th century at many of art academies there including Académie des Beaux-Arts.
