Stunning vintage Mid Century figure study in oil from Sweden signed E Persson. Stunning figure painting in typical mid century colors with thickly applied colors with superb use of cools and warms in the flesh tones. I love the way the artist has simplified the figure into blocks of color. I'm guessing this was painted directly from the model maybe even during his student days circa 1940/50's. I'm really tempted to keep this one myself. Stunning in person. Oil on canvas applied to board. In original frame that shows wear typical for age.
