Gorgeous Mid Century oil painting by listed artist Greta Turén dated 1967. Striking expressive landscape rendered in saturated color with confident brushwork. The artist has successfully broken down the composition into flat planes of color reducing the subject matter into only the very necessary components which creates a stunning image. This painting has a beautiful luminosity that was hard to capture with the camera. Gorgeous in person- a true mid century piece. Greta Turén is one of my favorite artist and her paintings are getting harder to come by.

Artist: Greta Turén (1901-1979) born Malmö, Sweden studied art at the Skånska målarskolan, Copenhagen and in Dresden, Germany with Otte Sköld. Represented in several Swedish museum collections.
