Vintage Art Room Mid Century Original Oil Painting from Sweden

Large Mid Century original oil painting by listed artist, Carsten Ström (1913-1995)  in original frame dated 1944. Lovely mid century cityscape featuring a flowing river rendered with expressive brushwork and line. This painting is quite colorful and the colors vibrate off of each other. Excellent use of perspective which create a nice depth. This is a fantastic painting in person.  Carsten Ström was a popular children's books author, graphic artist, ceramicist and artist. He studied art in Berlin and Copenhagen. Gorgeous in person!!
