Excellent mid century portrait oil painting from Sweden dated 1952. Very mod mid century portrait with excellent and minimal use of color and line in heavy impasto. A super mod mid century portrait by a well collected and popular artist. 

Artist: Bertil Berntsson (1921-2002) Edugated at Valands, Gothenburg 1939-1940, Skånska målarskola 1945-1946 and in Paris with Andre Lhote 1949. Represented in many public collections and museum collections in cluding Moderna Museet, Stockholm, Skissernas museum, Lund and more.
