Original Vintage Mid Century Farmhouse Oil Painting Sweden

Striking original vintage oil painting by popular and listed Swedish artist Bengt Hillgrund (1935-1981). Beautiful color and great composition in this lovely oil of a countryside farmhouse under a clear blue sky. The artist really knew how to mix color and the color harmony is just beautiful. The paint is laid down in confident brushstrokes with some areas of thicker impasto and there is a very nice luminosity to this painting. A gorgeous painting by a highly collectible artist. Must see in person. My photography does not do this piece justice!

Artist:   Bengt Hillgrund (1935-1981) is represented in various museum collections in Sweden. Studied in Sweden and Copenhagen.
