Mid Century Coastal Oil Painting from Sweden By G Berlin

Very charming oil painting from 1960 by listed artist, Gustav Berlin (1905-1988), Sweden. Gustav Berlin attended Skånska Målarskolan (a well known painting school in southern Sweden). Harmonious colors and expressive brushwork make up this charming more traditional style painting of boats in a canal dated 1954 that expertly draws the viewer into the scene. Excellent use of line and depth with a balanced composition.
