Larger gorgeous Mid Century oil painting signed G Turen dated 1944. Gorgeous expressive coastal scene rendered in thicker impasto of boathouses by the sea. Luminous color with excellent paint handling in this original oil painting by one of my favourite artists. Shows nice depth which leads the eye back into the charming scene. Artist: Greta Turén (1901-1979) born Malmö, Sweden studied art at the Skånska målarskolan, Copenhagen and in Dresden, Germany with Otte Sköld. Represented in several Swedish museum collections.
