Expressive paint application in thick impasto and superb color usage make up this gorgeous winter scene with figures. on a snowy city street. Confident paint handling and an excellent composition. I love the touches of pure cobalt blue sprinkled throughout the composition and the warmer softer tones of the building on the left that play off of the cooler tones. Lovely in person.
