Original Vintage still life oil painting from Sweden by listed artist Agda Holst. The artist has beautifully rendered the subject matter in a simplified but elegant way. The composition very effectively emphasises the atmosphere and stillness of this painting. Confident expressive brushwork with lovely color usage predominately painted in tomes of viridian, plum and yellow. A stunning still life by a favorite artist of mine.

Artist: Agda Holst listed artist (1886-1976) Studied in Paris at Academie Colarossi and with Christian Krohg, Andre Lhote and Kees Van Dongen. Studied in Munich with Julius Exter. Exhibited internationally in Denmark, Germany and USA plus in her home country of Sweden.
